The Wichita Thunder have announced that they have signed 6’2″ forward P.J. Fletcher for the 2025-26 season.

Junior and Collegiate Career

PJ Fletcher started his junior career in the 2018-19 season, where he played for the Wenatchee Wild in the BCHL. Through 58 games, he had eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points with 22 penalty minutes. He had eight goals and six assists for 14 points in 18 playoff games.

After just one season playing juniors, Fletcher started his collegiate career playing Division I hockey at Quinnipiac University. In 30 games with the Bobcats, he registered six assists with two penalty minutes and a -4.

Fletcher then returned to juniors after his freshman season, joining the Dubuque Fighting Saints and captaining the team. He had 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points with 38 penalty minutes and a -11 in 44 games with the Fighting Saints.

The Dana Point, California native then returned to collegiate hockey, where he finished his collegiate career at Miami University (Ohio). Fletcher spent three seasons with the RedHawks, where he played in 107 games. In that time, he had 24 goals and 38 assists for 62 points with 54 penalty minutes and a -34.

Professional Career

Upon completing his collegiate career in the 2023-24 season, Fletcher started his professional career in the ECHL. In a little over a season, Fletcher has spent time with the Florida Everblades, Atlanta Gladiators, Bloomington Bison, and Greenville Swamp Rabbits. He has played in a total of 54 ECHL games, where he has two goals and eight assists for ten points with 14 penalty minutes and a -13.

PJ Fletcher is a bigger forward who is able to create offense for his team. Fletcher is able to read the ice pretty well, helping set up his teammates for goals or even scoring goals himself. Fletcher has yet to establish stability on an ECHL roster, having played for three teams during the 2024-25 season. Now that he has the chance to spend a full season with one team, Fletcher could really develop and find his offensive game with the Thunder.
