Every Anime Coming to Crunchyroll This Summer

Every three months or so, there’s a big wave of anime launches, with new releases, new series, and new seasons to old series all releasing at around the same time. Much like western television, anime is seasonal, and while some anime run outside of the season system – like One Piece, which is going pretty much always – most stick to the three-month seasons.

Summer is almost here, so it’s time for an all-new season of anime, and of course the best place on the internet to watch anime is Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll has hundreds of anime series and movies to watch, with a library that grows massively every month.

Crunchyroll has released its massive schedule for the Summer anime season, with dozens of anime coming in the coming weeks and months. From small anime to the big hitters, there’s something for just about everybody launching in the Summer anime season on Crunchyroll.

Tasuketsu -Fate of the Majority- is an early one worth keeping an eye on — it’s an anime based on a manga by Taiga Miyagawa, and it sounds pretty dark. Crunchyroll says it follows a student who finds himself in a game of survival as half of the human population disappears every night. Animation studio Satelight is heading up the series, and it’s known for some spectacular work on series like Macross Frontier and Noein, one of the best anime you’ve probably never watched.

NieR:Automata Ver1.1a’s second cour is set to premiere a few days later, with Monogatari Series: OFF and MONSTER Season coming the day after — both highly anticipated series. If you’re looking for something more fantasy-focused, Wisteria: Wand and Sword looks like it’s worth watching too.
