The Florida Gators are set to face off against the Houston Cougars tonight. Walter Clayton Jr. will need to play his best basketball in order to lead his team to a national championship.

All tournament long, Clayton has been able to power Florida to wins. Over the last two games, the Gators have nearly been eliminated, but Clayton and company have been able to make just enough plays.

Due to his strong performance in March Madness, Clayton has become a household name to basketball fans. His stock ahead of the 2025 NBA draft has also been rising.

One former NBA star and Duke legend has spoken out about Clayton and what he brings to the court. He sees shades of Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry in the Florida standout.

Jay Williams spoke out about Clayton during an appearance on "Get Up." He thinks the Gators' guard is a cross between Curry and Damian Lillard.

In addition to his comparison for Clayton, Williams thinks that Clayton could be the No. 2 or No. 3 overall pick in the draft.

“I could make a case that he could be the second or third pick in the NBA draft," he said.

Throughout the course of the season heading into tonight's game, Clayton has played in 38 games. He has averaged 18.5 points per game to go along with 4.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals, while shooting 45.1% from the floor and 39.2% from 3-point distance.

Over the last two games, Clayton has scored 30 points against Texas Tech in the Elite Eight and 34 points against Auburn in the Final Four.
