D1 Baseball editor-in-chief Aaron Fitt thinks the Tennessee Vols are involved in college baseball's best rivalry.

Fitt was one of several college baseball media members that was asked by The Athletic about the best current rivalry in college baseball.

"I think you have to say Tennessee-Arkansas at the moment," said Fitt. "It’s kind of the one that feels like it’s got the most juice."

Fitt also pointed out LSU-Arkansas as a rivalry that has a lot of "juice".

Former Tennessee infielder turned ESPN analyst Chris Burke went with Tennessee-LSU as his answer, while also noting that Tennessee-Vanderbilt is a fun rivalry.

"I would say probably Tennessee and LSU," said Burke. "Past two defending national champions, two coaching staffs, two athletic departments, two fan bases that are all in it."

Tennessee didn't fare well against Arkansas and LSU in 2025. The Vols lost two of three to LSU in Baton Rouge during the regular season. Tennessee then lost two of three to Arkansas in Fayetteville during the regular season. The Vols had a shot at redemption against Arkansas in the Fayetteville Super Regional, but Tennessee was eliminated after two straight losses to the Razorbacks.
