From the Florida Atlantic Owls to the  Florida Gators, guard Alijah Martin is once again changing threads, this time after making the jump to the NBA.

On Thursday, the Toronto Raptors  selected Martin with the 39th pick of the 2025 NBA Draft.

Martin broke out with Florida Atlantic during the team's unprecedented run to the Final Four in 2023. Throughout the season, the guard averaged 13.4 points per game, making 11 of 28 three-pointers during the NCAA Tournament. He played one more season at FAU before joining Florida for his final season.

As a fifth-year senior, head coach Todd Golden deployed Martin in 38 of the team's 40 games, with the six-foot-two, 185-pound guard scoring a career-best 14.4 points per game on a respectable 45% from the field. He also shot 35% from deep. He scored double-digit points in five of Florida's six March Madness games, which ended in the program's third national title victory.

Martin will join a Toronto club that struggled to compete during the 2024-25 season, going 30-52 and missing the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.

On Wednesday night, the Raptors selected South Carolina Gamecocks product Collin Murray-Boyles. Toronto also houses one-time All-Star Brandon Ingram, former third overall pick RJ Barrett, and 2021-22 Rookie of the Year winner Scottie Barnes.
