Grab these NBA rebounding props

Yes, yesterday did end up being Kyle Connor Day. We hope you joined us! Today we'll turn to the hardwood and keep the props flowing with a few NBA looks.

Hitting the glass in Oklahoma City

Curiously, the two teams allowing the most rebounds per game will meet tonight when the Hawks visit the Thunder. Oklahoma City takes the crown here on the bottom, allowing 47.4 rebounds per game, but Atlanta is right on their heels at 46.2 boards allowed per contest.

A look back on recent meetings suggests to us that these numbers are going to stand strong. In the past three games these two have had against each other, both teams averaged exactly 47 rebounds per game.

Naturally, we turn to the rebound props to find us the best spots, and believe it or not, the value we see is at the guard position.

Dejounte Murray over 5.5 rebounds (-108 FanDuel)

Murray has been one of the best rebounding guards in the NBA over the past few seasons, averaging north of seven boards per game over the past three seasons. He's starting to hit this number more consistently of late with his new team, going for 6+ rebounds in five of his last seven games

Murray has taken advantage of this struggling OKC rebounding, going over tonight's line in five straight meetings. In 18 career games against the Thunder, Murray is averaging 6.3 rebounds per game. We love him here.

Jalen Williams over 4.5 rebounds (+112 FD)

Jalen Williams, the 6-foot-5 rookie wing for the Thunder, has been cruising along on the glass recently. Williams has logged five or more rebounds in five of his last six games, and he had one of his best rebounding performances of the season when he saw Atlanta in December, finishing with seven boards.

We may have an increased role to thank for this uptick in rebounding production for Williams. Over his last five games, the rookie is averaging 32.7 minutes per game, up from his season average of 28.4. Given his role and consistency here on the glass, the +112 price feels incredibly inviting.

Cheers to a rebounding kind of night here in the Association! Enjoy the action.

In the news ...

Finalists for NFL awards announced — The Associated Press has announced the finalists for each of the NFL's individual awards, including MVP, Offensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year. Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson are the MVP finalists, with Mahomes expected to win. Brian Daboll, Doug Pederson and Kyle Shanahan are the Coach of the Year finalists, and Brock Purdy, Kenneth Walker and Garrett Wilson are the Offensive Rookie of the Year finalists.

Scott Rolen voted into Baseball Hall of Fame as lone entrant this year — We have just one new addition to the Baseball Hall of Fame this year: former Cardinals third basemen Scott Rolen. Rolen received 76.3% of the vote, just above the 75% threshold to be admitted. His rise is quite notable given that Rolen received just 10.2% of the votes in 2018 when he was first listed on the ballot. Todd Helton (72.2%) and Billy Wagner (68.1%) were next in line this year.

Sean Payton continues to interview with NFL teams — Sean Payton has thus far interviewed with Carolina and Denver, and now he's meeting with the Arizona Cardinals this week. It's not a foregone conclusion that Payton gets back into the coaching ranks, as reports suggest he may stay put at Fox. Some insiders have reported that Payton is most interested in coaching Chargers QB Justin Herbert should Brandon Staley be fired. Los Angeles parted with its offensive staff after the Chargers' collapse on Wild Card Weekend, but Staley remains the head coach at this time.
