A December update brings new tracks, cars, and features as Gran Turismo celebrates a historic milestone
Gran Turismo has officially joined the 100-million-club, and Polyphony Digital isn’t just handing out cake and balloons. Instead, they’re tossing fans the keys to a December upgrade that promises to be bigger than trying to parallel park a Dodge Ram in downtown Tokyo. The Spec III update was officially announced today during PlayStation’s State of Play, and it is set to bring a fresh dose of content to Gran Turismo 7, marking both a milestone celebration and a teaser for what’s ahead.
Polyphony confirmed that Spec III will expand nearly every corner of the game. From hardcore racers seeking new telemetry tools to collectors chasing rare cars, the update aims to deliver something for everyone.
Most notably, Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve headline the new track additions—two circuits steeped in motorsport prestige. Alongside those tracks comes an expanded garage, a higher collector cap, and new ways to engage in weekly events.

Here’s what’s officially on the way in December’s Spec III update:
The full list of cars and finer details will be revealed as December approaches, but the scale of the update signals that Polyphony sees Gran Turismo 7 as far from finished. For a franchise that helped define modern sim racing, Spec III feels less like an add-on and more like a celebration of GT’s past, present, and future.
