Shaquille O'Neal has signed a big extension with TNT Sports.
According to Front Office Sports, the new deal will pay O'Neal over $15 million per season. This is great news since O'Neal has been one of TNT's best analysts for Inside the NBA for the last several years.
Now that he has an extension, O'Neal is one of the highest-paid broadcasters in the country. Tom Brady is still the highest-paid, getting $37.5 million from FOX every year, but Charles Barkley, O'Neal's colleague at TNT, isn't far behind at $21 million per year, per Spotrac.
Stephen A. Smith receives $20 million per year from ESPN to appear on First Take and various other ESPN shows, while Troy Aikman and Tony Romo receive $18 million per season. Aikman is the lead color commentator for ESPN's Monday Night Football, and Romo is the lead color commentator each Sunday for CBS.
Pat McAfee gets $17 million per season to do the Pat McAfee Show and be an analyst on College GameDay while O'Neal is right behind him. Joe Buck, the play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football, also gets $15 million per season.

Sports fans had plenty of reactions to these numbers.
"I’m guessing Barkley never made this much a year when he played in the NBA," one tweet read.
"Brady making more than Aikman & Romo COMBINED as a first-time announcer is insane," another tweet read.
"I’ve always liked Barkley a lot but Shaq just mumbles up there," another fan tweeted.
"Greg Olsen got screwed. Brady is awful in the booth," another tweet read.
Brady is the highest-paid sports broadcaster by a little over $16 million so it will be interesting to see if anyone breaks that number.
