BYU had the Big 12 title shot right there for the taking, and now there’s a problem after losing back-to-back weeks to Kansas and Arizona State.

To get into the Big 12 Championship, the Cougars have to win this, and they need either Arizona to beat Arizona State or Kansas State to beat Iowa State.

Houston lost to Arizona and Baylor over back-to-back weeks to be knocked out of bowl eligibility, but it can play the role of spoiler. It has to ramp up the offense that’s been a problem all year, but the BYU offense hasn’t been dominant lately, either.

Houston vs BYU: Who Will Win?

Houston really is struggling to get the offense going - it failed to hit 300 yards of total O in three of the last four games.

Worse yet, it has a turnover problem with seven in the last two games. The team is 4-0 when it doesn’t turn it over multiple times, and 0-7 when it gives it up two o more times.

BYU didn’t force multiple takeaways in the last two games - both losses. It came up with multiple takeaways in the previous six games. It’ll come up with multiple takeaways in this, and the defense will keep the other Cougars under 300 yards of total O.

BYU will get past the last two weeks in a hurry and be terrific - even if it isn't enough to get into the Big 12 Championship - it'll already know its situation during the game.
