Joey Fleming was back in Tuscaloosa this week to visit the Crimson Tide.
Fleming is one of the top offensive lineman prospects in the 2028 recruiting class. He attends Huntsville High School in Alabama, and his offer list includes offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU, Ohio State and others.
The Tide offered Fleming last summer after a great camp performance. He returned to campus for an unofficial visit during the 2025 football season and made his way back to Tuscaloosa this week for a spring visit, and the visit had a homey feel to it.
“Absolutely amazing every time I’m there,” Fleming told Touchdown Alabama. “It feels like home.”
When Alabama offered him after camp, Fleming shared how familiar he was with the Tide.
“It means a lifetime of focus has really started to pay off,” Fleming told Touchdown Alabama after earning offer. “I know Alabama’s expectations on and off the field, and I’m going to live up to them. It’s the beginning step in a marathon.”
At 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, Fleming lines up at right tackle for Huntsville at the moment. He is an active lineman, who likes to engage blocks and keep his feet moving until the defender is on his back or out of the play and the whistle is blown.
