The Nebraska Huskers have once again landed a top seed in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament.

The Big Red received a No. 1 seed — second overall — when the 2024 tournament bracket was revealed Sunday evening. It’s the second year in a row the program has been a one-seed heading into the tournament.

Nebraska will open the tournament at Bob Devaney Sports Center against Florida A&M on Friday at 7 p.m. If they advance, the Huskers will then play the winner of the eighth-seeded Miami-South Dakota State match on Saturday. If the Huskers advance, they’ll play in Lincoln through the regional round.

Other Big Ten teams to make the tournament include:

  • Penn State (No. 1 seed (third overall)),
  • Wisconsin (No. 2 seed),
  • Purdue (No. 4 seed),
  • Oregon (No. 4 seed),
  • Minnesota (No. 6 seed),
  • USC (No. 6 seed),
  • Illinois, and
  • Washington.

Regionals are set to take place from Dec. 12 through Dec. 15; Semifinals are scheduled for the night of Dec. 19 and the national championship match will be held on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. (CT). The semifinals and championship will be played at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and the championship match will be televised on ABC.

Nebraska finished the regular season 29-2 (19-1 and tied for first in the Big Ten) and will try to advance to the national championship for the second year in a row. The Huskers are seeking their sixth national championship and first since 2017.
