Notre Dame added yet another talented player in the 2026 class when it landed a commitment from talented safety Nick Reddish. The Charlotte (N.C.) Independence standout is the fifth defensive back to pledge to the Irish, who have landed a third straight elite secondary class.
After Reddish committed the Irish Breakdown team got together to analyze the commitment. You can watch the full video here:
Here is a rundown of the show:
*** After discussing the particulars of the Reddish commitment the IB team dives into how this commitment impacts the Notre Dame 2026 recruiting class. Reddish is the 26th player to commit to Notre Dame in the class and he's the 10th defensive player. He also joins a secondary class that now includes Reddish, Joey O'Brien, Khary Adams, Ayden Pouncey and Chaston Smith. They also discuss how important it was to get yet another talented defensive player from North Carolina.
*** After the Class Impact they break down the film for Reddish. He suffered a knee injury at the beginning of his junior season, so the breakdown looks at his sophomore film. Reddish is a smooth, athletic safety with outstanding instincts. That allowed him to rack up 95 tackles, 10 pass break ups and four interceptions as a sophomore.
*** With Notre Dame's secondary class now complete there wasn't a need to talk about what's next. Instead, the IB team discussed the elite recruiting for secondary coach Mike Mickens. Recruiting the secondary had been a struggle at Notre Dame for years. There have been strong classes here and there before Mickens, but since his arrival the Irish are now stacking up big time classes back to back to back.
