Soon after losing one commitment, the WVU football program gained another. The Mountaineers now have an in-state quarterback committed to their 2024 class.

Abe Fenwick (6-foot-3, 205 pounds), a three-star quarterback in-state recruit, announced his decision to commit to West Virginia on Tuesday morning. He posted the news on social media, thanking the WVU coaches for the opportunity.

Fenwick attends George Washington High School in Charleston and is considered a top 10 overall recruit in the state by at least one national recruiting outlet. He is viewed as a pro style quarterback.

Prior to his commitment WVU, Fenwick previously committed to William and Mary in June. He also held offers from Elon, Massachusetts, Old Dominion. Dartmouth, Liberty, Marshall, North Carolina State and even Pitt were also believed to be interest in Fenwick.
