India have responded well since going behind, trying to create more running spaces down the flanks. However, the Australian full-backs have held firm so far. After just a solitary minute of stoppage time, referee Maika Vanderstichel blows her whistle to bring the first half to an end.
Australia have complete control of the game, with India struggling to even get out of their own half. A free-kick on the half-way line gives the Blue Tigresses a chance to go forward, but the long ball is easily gathered by Pearson.
Mouithys puts Austalia ahead before the half-hour mark! It was sloppy play from India, losing posession in their own half, and the ball is quickly played to Mouithys. The Australian number 21 takes a first time shot that flies past Munni and nestles into the bottom corner.
Another short corner down the right, and Australia almost capitalise on the situation with lethal intent. The ball reaches Pearson, whose flick hits the side netting.
It has been a really cagey start to the affair, with most of the match being played in the middle of the park. Australia win the first corner of the night, but the Indian defence clear it with much trouble.
The players are out on the pitch, and the teams take their position. The referee blows her whistle, and Australia tick the kick off!
