Jackson High School released a statement after news broke Ezavier Crowell was suspended for the Aggies’ season-opener against Saraland, per WKRG’s Simone Eli.
“We at Jackson High School believe that there has been no rule violation,” the statement read. “However, when presented with a choice of a one game suspension versus the possibility of many more games, or even a full season, we made the decision that the only choice was obvious. Therefore EJ Crowell will not play against Saraland. This situation involved the loaning of a car for EJ to drive for a 20 day period of time. The person loaning the car was a life long friend of the Crowell family and EJ’s Godfather.”
Crowell is a 2026 five-star running back, who is committed to Alabama.
