The Jacksonville Jaguars officially signed Travis Hunter to his rookie contract on Sunday, and they had a clever way of announcing the news.

The Jaguars alluded to Hunter’s two-way status in confirming the news. The team made two separate posts on X, one announcing Hunter as a wide receiver and a second announcing him as a defensive back. Even the background graphics in the photos were different.

The Jaguars are certainly underlining their commitment to using Hunter on both sides of the ball. They have allowed him to work with both position groups during offseason minicamps, and he has shown his potential at times.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted that Hunter is getting his entire signing bonus immediately, a rarity for a non-first overall pick.

Hunter had 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns at Colorado last season. He had 35 total tackles, 4 interceptions and a forced fumble defensively.
