Valentina Shevchenko has come out swinging after Jake Paul’s recent attack on the UFC.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer will promote his first MMA show in Inglewood, California, on May 16.

Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will headline in a comeback fight against WMMA pioneer Gina Carano.

Valentina Shevchenko calls out Jake Paul’s MMA comments

Jake Paul recently explained why he thinks MMA won’t stand the test of time despite his upcoming event on Netflix.

The 29-year-old told Theo Von that he believes the UFC is “dying” because it’s become too “greedy” and “super corporate”.

Paul insists that ‘boring’ grapplers mean MMA will eventually die out, no matter what the UFC doe

“MMA hasn’t stood the test of time because the best people in the sport become wrestlers, and they just like hold on. Khabib [Nurmagomedov], Khamzat [Chimaev], boring,” he said. “No one wants to watch that. So it hasn’t stood the test of time.”

“Boxing has been around since the 1500s, MMA is 30 years [old], and it’s declining.”

Paul’s comments went viral before Valentina Shevchenko stumbled across them on social media.

The UFC flyweight champion responded by imploring Paul to transition to MMA and find out how boring it is in the cage.

“UFC dying?! Hey Jake, you definitely don’t know what you’re talking about,” Shevchenko wrote on X.

“Criticizing MMA from a long distance. Try to get into an octagon with one of them, and they’ll wipe the floor with your pretty face.

“You will show spectacular, breathtaking fight from down there! Then you can tell us how fun or boring it was!”

Valentina Shevchenko’s busy 2026

Valentina Shevchenko hasn’t fought since outpointing Zhang Weili at UFC 322 in November 2025.

‘Bullet’ doesn’t have a fight lined up, but she’s been staying sharp by sparring on social media.

Last month, Shevchenko went off on Ronda Rousey after ‘Rowdy’ accused her of selling explicit images on OnlyFans.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was next in her firing line. Shevchenko was left furious after the former UFC lightweight champion claimed ‘a woman is weaker’ while explaining his dislike of women’s MMA.

Jake Paul is the latest person to feel her fury, which will be unleashed in the Octagon later this year.
