Jason Kelce has a wild take involving LeBron James in the ‘heated’ NFL vs. NBA debate
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Jason Kelce claimed the 39-year-old LeBron James can play in the NFL. The retired Philadelphia Eagles center pointed out, the sheer size and strength of the Los Angeles Lakers star was sufficient enough for a switch to the gridiron.

Kelce basically agreed with Ryan Clark’s statement. During the latest episode of The Pivot Podcast, Clark addressed Austin Rivers’ controversial take on several NBA players who could play in the NFL but not the other way around.

The former football player turned ESPN analyst, claimed that the NBA athletes are not emotionally, mentally, or physically strong enough to play on the gridiron. Football is a much different and demanding sport compared to basketball. He further added that a lot of NBA players would have to rethink their careers if they go through an NFL playbook.

Jason Kelce retweeted Clark’s statement on X (formerly Twitter).

I love this argument and passion from Ryan, and as a football player, my mind is screaming hell yeah!!! But, if I was an NFL GM, and it was an option, I’d sign Lebron today and within one offseason he’d be the greatest red zone threat in the NFL. The Super Bowl winner with the Philadelphia Eagles said

James is 6 foot 8, 230 pounds of solid muscle. He has been playing at the highest level of basketball for close to two decades, with 40k points. So, Kelce and Clark may be onto something here.

Jason Kelce’s podcast could be moving to a new platform

Amidst batting for LeBron James, the 36-year-old Jason Kelce is close to signing a deal with ESPN. He will reportedly be part of the ‘Monday Night Countdown’ as an analyst alongside Clark, Marcus Spears, and Scott Van Pelt .

So, what happens to his ‘New Heights ’ podcast with brother and Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl-winning tight end Travis Kelce? Fans may well have to pay to watch their beloved brothers in the future because the New York Post suggested that Amazon Wonder way services could buy the rights to the show.

Jason revealed in one of the episodes about the rumors of his potential media career.

Nothing has been officially inked yet or announced yet but there's been a lot of reports out there about me going to ESPN and I think time will kind of take care of that. Jason Kelce said

The Kelce brothers reminisced about how their days at Cleveland Heights would not pass without watching sports shows on ESPN. If the network does sign him then they will get a sharp mind with experience to be a great analyst.
