Jason Kelce will be very pleased with Philadelphia Eagles' obvious 2025 NFL Draft plan

The Philadelphia Eagles' 2025 NFL Draft plan is looking clearer and clearer, and legendary center Jason Kelce will be happy with it.

Kelce expressed his concerns for the Eagles' offensive line last month during an appearance on 94WIP.

Not only did Kelce note the Eagles' key free agency losses, but he also pointed out their injuries last fall and overall lack of depth.

“I want to see who is going to replace this depth issue because, for the offensive line, the starting five is great and we were very lucky to have all five of those guys pretty much healthy all year,” Kelce said. “It’s not that common in the NFL. Who are we getting that’s going to be those next guys, and who’s gonna be Tyler Steen this year if Tyler Steen is a starter and somebody needs to play? Is this a major drop off that really hurts the unit?”

Philly took two massive hits to their offensive when they lost both starting right guard Mekhi Becton and reliable swing tackle Fred Johnson in NFL free agency.

Of course, the Eagles have rising third-year offensive guard Tyler Steen and second-year offensive guard Trevor Keegan projected to take on large roles this fall. They were also proactive in free agency, signing veteran tackle Kendall Lamm while acquiring former first-round pick Kenyon Green from the Houston Texans

However, according to Kelce, that just is not enough.

The good news is that the Eagles have been doing extensive homework on offensive linemen in this year's draft class and scheduled Top 30 visits with at least seven offensive linemen prospects so far:

  • OL Dylan Fairchild (Georgia)
  • OT Charles Grant (William & Mary)
  • OT Anthony Belton (N.C. State)
  • OL Marcus Mbow (Purdue)
  • OL Jalen Travis (Iowa State)
  • OT Josh Conerly Jr. (Oregon)
  • OG Donovan Jackson (Ohio State)

This list doesn't include those that have yet to be reported or the linemen they met with at the Reese's Bowl or NFL Combine, though it does mean they're taking their offensive line depth very seriously.
