Jim Harbaugh returns the favor, embraces with brother John before Ravens playoff game
? Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

John Harbaugh supported his brother Jim Harbaugh during Michigan’s run to a national title, including attending the national championship win against Washington. Now Jim is returning the favor as John and the Ravens get underway in the NFL playoffs.

Jim Harbaugh is in Baltimore for the Ravens game against the Texans on Saturday. He embraced with John quickly ahead of the matchup. You can watch the exchange below:

John Harbaugh and Jim Harbaugh are among the top coaches in their sports. John has been the coach of the Ravens since 2008 and has won a Super Bowl title during his time in Baltimore. He’s also led the Ravens to numerous other playoff appearances, and Baltimore is the No. 1 seed in the AFC this year.

Jim Harbaugh has been a successful coach everywhere he has been. He turned the Stanford program around, going 12-1 and leading the Cardinal to the Orange Bowl in his final season there. Harbaugh then took the 49ers to the Super Bowl, where they came up just short. After that, he returned to his alma mater Michigan and ended his time in Ann Arbor with three straight Big Ten titles and a national championship.

While Jim Harbaugh is currently one of the best coaches in college football, he could soon be joining John in the NFL.

Jim has interviewed twice with the Falcons and Chargers as he continues to ponder his future.

After Michigan won the national title, he sat down with ESPN’s Rece Davis and was asked about his future and if he was interested in going to the NFL.

“It was such a great feeling last night celebrating and really cool to wake up this morning and it wasn’t a dream,” Harbaugh said. “That was real and it felt almost just as good as last night. We want to take a happy flight back to Ann Arbor, Michigan.

“The guys want a parade. So, gosh darn it, let’s give them a parade. I’m looking forward to that, too. Then we’ll see what happens. No man knows the future. Nobody can predict that. That’s biblical, and right now feels pretty darn good.”

John and Jim are extremely close, and John recently had high praise for his brother.

“He may be the best team builder in football right now,” John Harbaugh told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “Nobody builds a team better. He knows how to put it together, top to bottom. He knows how to include people. Knows how to make them part of it. He knows how to empower people.”
