Joshua Car Crash Trial Adjourned Until November

The trial of the driver charged in the December crash that killed two members of Anthony Joshua's training team has been adjourned until November 17.

Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, faces four charges after the SUV he was driving struck a stationary truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on December 29, killing Joshua's personal trainer Latif Ayodele and strength and conditioning coach Sina Ghami. The former two-time heavyweight champion survived with injuries and was later discharged from hospital.

Kayode Denies All Charges After Fatal Crash

Prosecutors say Kayode was attempting to overtake another vehicle when the collision occurred. He denies all charges, which include dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and operating a vehicle without a valid national driver's license.

The case began in January at a magistrate court in Ogun State, per Sky Sports. Police testified in earlier proceedings that both vehicles had been removed from the scene before investigators arrived.

Joshua and his team were traveling to visit the boxer's father in Ogun State at the time of the crash. The trial resumes November 17.
