Kadyn Betts confirms he's returning to Gophers for 2024-25
Matt Krohn / USA TODAY Sports

Gophers men’s basketball forward Kadyn Betts is officially returning to the team for the 2024-25 season, the program announced Monday on social media.

Betts, a rising redshirt sophomore, only played in eight games last season and scored 10 points with two rebounds. But the 6-foot-8 forward could see an increased role after some departures via the transfer portal.

Betts, a native of Pueblo, Colo., was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and was the No. 87-ranked recruit in the class of 2023, per PrepHoops, before reclassifying to the 2022 class.

He averaged 22.7 points and 12.3 rebounds per game his junior season.
