After a heavy-hitting spring of competing in NST Ski and shooting film segments in Alaska, Kai Jones certainly earned himself some chill days in the park.

Jones took advantage of a few good weeks of spring skiing at Palisades Tahoe, California to mess around on some jumps and ski with friends like Oscar Ronner and Kelly Hilleke as well as his cousin, Cass Jones.

Jones released an edit from their days at Palisades and in a departure from the normal ultra-glossy high production TGR films we're used to seeing him in, it's a quick minute and a half of epic tricks and grainy black and white b-roll.

PUSHBACK, which is out on Jones' YouTube channel, is the park edit you'd expect most 18-year-old boys to make, if most 18-year-old boys could ski like Kai Jones.

Complete with a tandem pond skim that doesn't quite make it across with Hilleke, it's clear these guys had a great time out there skiing and filming it. Like any TGR film, Jones' dad and uncles names are still top of the credits, but this one feels much more like the brainchild of the younger Jones, who is a talented filmer and editor himself.

Jones is just two seasons out from an accident in which he broke both of his legs while filming in the backcountry.

After seeing his performance at NST and now this, it's clear he's back and just as strong as before. The details of Jones' injury and comeback were chronicled in a documentary made by TGR and Red Bull, which was released last fall.

A recent high school graduate, this kid's got a whole career ahead of him and the talent to back it up for sure, but its great to see him out skiing for fun in this latest drop.
