Kansas State’s 2026 recruiting class keeps racking up wins, this time with HD Davis, a gifted running back from Wolfe City, Texas, becoming the fifth commit in four days following the Wildcats’ recent official visit weekend.
Beyond excited to announce my commitment to Kansas State! Can’t wait to join the Wildcat family! #EMAW #GoWildcats@KStateFB @CoachKli @_CoachDonald @CoachAnderson15 @CoachBrianLepak @CoachNKaczor @seanmaguire_10 @seancooper_C4 @CoachBSmithey @ColeCarmody52 @galloway__drew pic.twitter.com/7XSmL6xCZA

Davis exploded onto the scene with 2,739 yards rushing and 31 touchdowns during his junior campaign, earning All-State honors and District Offensive MVP. The 6-foot, 205-pound back fits perfectly into K-State’s physical backfield vision, a tough north-south runner with game-changing speed.
Kansas State offered Davis back in February, then extended an invitation for a Spring visit. Following his official weekend trip to campus, Davis announced his decision, choosing the Wildcats over FBS and FCS programs, including Navy, UTEP, and Rice. As On3’s Drew Galloway reported, K-State “was out in front” the entire time.
In the past four days, the Wildcats have landed commitments from three-star defensive lineman Kingston Hall, three-star defensive back Garrick Dixon, three-star athlete Hannibal Carter Navies, three-star safety Nick McClellan, and now, HD Davis.
He joins just two skill position players on offense in Kansas State’s 2026 class, alongside three-star running back Tanner West and three-star quarterback Miles Teodecki.
With HD Davis on board, Kansas State isn’t just maintaining recruiting momentum; it’s accelerating. A high-performing Texas back locks in their class’ running game depth and sends a message that the Wildcats are building with purpose in the backfield.
