There is now a sort of "cult of personality'' that dovetails into all things Kansas City Chiefs ...
And that includes news about one of their super fans.
Kansas City follower - and Indiana Fever point guard - Caitlin Clark is a featured player in a new series of Gatorade commercials that will also star NFL Draft prospect Shedeur Sanders from the University of Colorafo and rapper Kendrick Lamar ... playing the lead role here ... among others.
The new ad campaign is part of PepsiCo's 2025 series that will premiere during the NBA Playoffs. Others that will appear in the ads include Los Angeles Lakers (nee Dallas Mavs) headliner Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum and A'ja Wilson.
It is billed as the largest celebrity campaign in the sports drink's history, and the first time a rapper or musician will be featured, per Gatorade brand officer Anuj Bhasin.
Also involved in the campaign are appearances by many of Gatorade's biggest sports stars, including Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.
The new Gatorade ads - including the one above, called "Lose More. Win More'' - will continue throughout the calendar year and be featured for big events, including the NFL Draft and the Major League Baseball All-Star game.
Watch above for the Lamar narration over footage of superstar athletes doing their thing ... including Caitlin, the WNBA sensation who grew up a fan of the KC team and who has since become high-profile pals with super-couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ...
All part of the Chiefs "cult of personality.''
