With four players already signed to the 2024 recruiting class and a clear picture for the remaining targets, the Kentucky Wildcats are started to looking ahead to the 2025 and 2026 classes. On Monday, Kentucky officially extended an offer to their top target and the No. 1 prospect in the 2026 class, Tyran Stokes.

A native of Louisville, the 6-foot-7, 225-pound Stokes now plays at Prolific Prep in California, playing alongside another priority Kentucky target, 2025 No. 1 prospect AJ Dybantsa, who is arguably the best player regardless of class.

While just a sophomore in high school, Stokes already has a big list of suitors. His offer list includes schools like Kansas, Auburn, Alabama, Louisville, Texas, Texas A&M, and LSU among others. That said, given his ties, it is considered that the recruitment will end up as a Kentucky-Louisville battle, but there is still a ways to go in his recruitment.

You can check out Stokes in December in Louisville at the Derek Smith Invitational, where many of Kentucky’s top targets will be participating.

His scouting report per NBADraftRoom.com:

Stokes is a big-bodied wing who is very quick and nimble for his size and has an impressive skill-set. He’s tough to stop once he gets up a head of steam and is a very good finisher around the basket.

Has easy above the rim ability thanks to his size, length and bounce.

Is still developing as a 3pt shooter.

Has good hands on defense and moves his feet well. Guards in space well for a player his size.
