The Kentucky Softball program has made some big moves during the fall signing window, announcing the signing of six players to National Letters of Intent. Head coach Rachel Lawson expressed her excitement about the incoming class, highlighting the strong battery and versatility of the players.

“This class has a dominant battery within in that compliment each other well and Lindsey Miller is an exceptional defensive catcher who will be able to work with Julie Kelley and Carson Fall. Allison Blum and Anna Mauck are both extremely versatile athletes who we will use to their full disposal who are additionally outstanding hitters and competitors in the box who will add to the depth of our offense. Ava Emmert is reliable infielder who adds a lot of power to our lineup and extends the length of our order one through nine,” said Lawson.

This signing class adds to an already impressive roster for the Kentucky Softball program, which has consistently brought in highly-ranked classes in recent years under Lawson’s leadership. The following players will join the University of Kentucky in the fall of 2024 and compete in their freshman seasons in the spring of 2025:

– Allison Blum from New Palestine, Indiana. Blum is both an infielder and utility player with a .447 batting average, 9 home runs, and 40 RBIs. She has been named a two-time Second Team All-State player and has also earned All-Conference honors twice.

– Carson Fall from Bridge City, Texas. Fall, a pitcher, is ranked #27 player by Extra Innings Softball. She has been named District and City MVP and was a co-champion at the USSSA Texas Glory Summer Shootout.

– Ava Emmert from Lexington, Kentucky. Emmert is an infielder with a .378 batting average. She has been recognized as a Kentucky First Team All-State player and has won two Kentucky State Championships.

– Julie Kelley from Ormond Beach, Florida. Kelley, a left-handed pitcher, boasts an impressive record of 10 wins, 1 perfect game, 1 no-hitter, and 192 strikeouts. Additionally, she has contributed offensively with 7 home runs and 21 RBIs. She was a champion at the Scenic City Top 25 tournament.

– Anna Mauck from Indianapolis, Indiana. Mauck, an infielder, boasts a .529 batting average along with 13 home runs and 70 RBIs. She was also a champion at the Scenic City Top 25 tournament.

– Lindsey Miller from Morgan Hill, California. Miller is a catcher and infielder who has shown prowess in both positions. She is ranked #2 in fielding percentage in her league and has performed well in terms of RBIs. Miller plays high school softball under former Wildcat Megan Yocke.
