Over the next couple of days, 59 basketball players from across the world will have their dreams come true.
Starting Wednesday evening, the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft, which will be held at the Barclays Center in New York, will be taking place.
Teams across the NBA will be on the hunt for their missing piece for a title run, an underrated prospect or their next face of the franchise. One player that isn't expected to have to wait too long to hear his name called is Duke's Kon Knueppel.
The former five-star recruit can shoot it with the best of them, and is coming off a freshman season at Duke that saw him average 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, while shooting 47.9% from the field and 40.6% from deep.
As the draft approaches, top prospects like Knueppel are asked every question under the sun. When doing a rapid-fire interview with SLAM, Knueppel was asked to name the best NBA player of all time.
He quickly rattled off "Michael Jordan," who was a six-time NBA Champion and is widely regarded as the best to ever play the game. In addition to that question, Knueppel was also asked the same question regarding the WNBA, going with Las Vegas Aces star, A'ja Wilson.
Later in the interview, Knueppel also deemed Jordan the best defender of all time.
While Jordan is no longer involved with the Charlotte Hornets, as he sold his majority stake in 2023, the struggling franchise was projected to draft Knueppel No. 4 overall in ESPN's latest mock draft.
