Any aspiring golfer who wants to join the PGA Tour has to go through the Korn Ferry Tour. This year, the Korn Ferry Tour Championship 2025 in Indiana marks the final event of the season. The Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort is hosting the championship. There are no cuts because only the top 75 players in the standings qualify to play this season-ending event. With the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, one would want to know what’s in it for the winner and others.
The total prize money this year is $1.5 million, with the winner taking home $270,000, the standard 18% pay according to the distribution chart. However, the financial aspect is not the only thing that makes this season-ending championship important. There’s much more.
The winner gets 600 Korn Ferry Tour points. These points are added to the ones earned throughout the entire season. The top 20 golfers on the KFT points list will get their PGA Tour cards. This will give them access to the 2026 PGA Tour events, enabling them to earn more from the larger purses at these tournaments. Additionally, since this is the Korn Ferry Tour’s final event, officials also count the points earned here toward setting the priority order for the fall events.
To top it all, the winner also gets approximately 13.7 Official World Golf Ranking points. These points can boost their world rankings before they start their official PGA Tour.
