Lando Norris might spend his life racing the fastest machines on the planet, but away from the Formula 1 paddock, his most cherished car is a timeless classic. The McLaren star revealed on Quadcast, the podcast from his Quadrant brand, that out of the roughly 16 cars he owns, one stands head and shoulders above the rest — his rare Lamborghini Miura.

Norris’s Miura is an original P400, powered by a 3.9-liter V12 engine, and one of just 762 ever built. Today, the car is valued at around $2.6 million, making it one of the most prized pieces in his growing collection. But for Norris, its worth goes far beyond the price tag.

My favorite car? The one that’s meant the most to me, the car I’m most proud of, is my Lamborghini Miura,” he said. “I think it’s one of the most beautiful cars ever made. This was my first proper gift to myself. I'm going to spend a little bit of money and buy a very nice car.”

The 25-year-old admitted that historic cars capture his heart more than modern ones, and his garage reflects that passion. Among his other standouts is a chrome Shelby Cobra, which he famously drove to Silverstone for the 2024 British GP.

“There’s maybe a couple that I’m like, I just have to — my Cobra, for instance,” Norris shared. “I was like, I need to drive a Cobra. And I drove it into Silverstone and I was like, yeah, this is the coolest. It is the loudest thing in the world.”

Norris’s love of cars is deeply rooted in his upbringing. He grew up surrounded by his father’s passion for motorsport, and now, he enjoys sharing that same love with his parents.

“My dad loved them when he was younger. And now I almost get to share his love for cars. He comes to races, and I think he’s living a dream through me. I think that’s pretty cool for him.”

Alongside the Miura and Cobra, Norris’s enviable collection also includes a McLaren 765LT, Ferrari F40, Porsche Carrera GT, McLaren P1, and a modified Land Rover — proof that even an F1 driver can’t resist life in the fast lane.
