In October of 1996, Lee Corso made his first headgear pick on "College GameDay." Roughly 29 years later, he put on the headgear for the final time.

On Aug. 30, 2025, Corso had his final "College GameDay" show. There were plenty of emotions coming into this weekend. How could there not be? We're talking about an incredible personality who found a way to entertain college football fans for 38 years with his humor and analysis.

“The one thing I think Lee Corso did — and he did it with such grace — is he brought entertainment to this business,” Nick Saban said, via On3. “We used to just watch games, and people would call the game. But he made it entertaining, which is what you do and what we all have an opportunity to do for the fans. He made it better for the fans. It was more enjoyable. He’s got a great personality. What he did for the entertainment side of this business, to me, is his greatest contribution to college sports. I don’t think people fully realize the value of that."

Despite being 90 years old, Corso brought a ton of energy for his final headgear pick on "College GameDay."

Coming into this weekend, Corso had an overall record of 286-114 for headgear picks. He went 12-5 during the 2024 season.

Who'd Corso pick for Texas vs. Ohio State?

It's been said for a while that Brutus Buckeye is Corso's first love. However, the Longhorns are absolutely loaded with talent and ranked No. 1 in the country.

At the end of the day though, Corso went with his heart. He put on the Brutus Buckeye headgear for the final time in his career.

This was truly a full-circle moment for Corso, who picked Ohio State during his first headgear segment.

Unsurprisingly, Corso received a standing ovation from the crowd in Columbus.

Will Corso improve his headgear pick and close out the 2025 season with a perfect 1-0 record? We'll find out this afternoon.

College football fans can watch Texas vs. Ohio State on FOX.
