The CMT Music Awards showcased multiple talents but one set gave fans a view of what is to come yet this year.  Little Big Town and Sugarland made a big announcement before they took the stage to perform Phil Collins' hit "Take Me Home."

The two groups who have 44 CMT Music Award nominations and 8 wins as a whole, will be on tour together this year.

It has been 16 years since the two groups last played together at the 2008 awards show.

No doubt there was planning behind the song they decided to play on the Awards show.  The Tour will be called Take Me Home and will begin in Greenville, South Carolina on October 4, 2024.

The two groups will be making stops in New York, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio, Minnesota, and Wisconsin along with many more before they finish up in Nashville, Tennessee on December 13.

The Castellows will also join the groups on tour. The Castellows are a trio of sisters with Ellie on lead guitar, Powell on banjo and Lily on vocals.  They come from Georgetown, Georgia originally but are now calling Nashville home.

If you enjoy multiple part harmonies, this will be the show to see.

The Castellows are characterized by rich harmonies and acoustic instrumentation.  Little Big Town is famous for the four-part vocal harmonies and diverse musical influences.  While Sugarland blends country with elements of pop and rock with powerful vocals and catchy melodies.

Little Big Town commented on their performance with Sugarland on the CMT Awards show.

"Last night (CMT Awards) felt like a real homecoming for us and a full circle moment. When we toured with Sugarland last, we would all be backstage harmonizing different cover songs to try and surprise the audience every night. There's something about this song that feels so nostalgic of that time. It really is like coming home."

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m.
