The Los Angeles Lakers Sparks are hosting Dodgers Night at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday, Aug. 7, when they host the Connecticut Sun.

The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited edition Sparks and Dodgers co-branded hat. The hat comes in white with the “Los Angeles Sparks” text on the front and Dodgers logo embroidered on the side.

Tickets can be purchased through AXS’s website. Ticket prices vary with the lowest-cost option being $36.40 while a top-end option is priced $87.85. Fans who’d like to sit courtside can do so for $313.75.

The two Los Angeles sports teams have collaborated previously, with stars Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson appearing for an interview and throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the Dodgers’ game against the Arizona Diamondbacks last year.

Jack Flaherty reciprocated the support by showing up to a Sparks game against the Sun and swapping jerseys with Brink afterward.

The Dodgers are in the midst of another strong season as they currently lead the National League West but are looking to find better rhythm heading into the postseason. Meanwhile, the Sparks have found their footing and are making a late-season push for one of the final spots in the WNBA playoffs.

Los Angeles Sparks 2025 season

The Sparks started their 2025 season slowly as they dealt with injuries, but have been steadily improving over the summer. Kelsey Plum has established herself as the alpha of the team after being traded from the Las Vegas Aces, while veterans Dearica Hamby and Azura Stevens have shored up the frontcourt.

Jackson has taken a leap in just her second year as an all-around forward, while Brink recently returned from an ACL injury and has produced defensively off the bench for new head coach Lynne Roberts. The Sparks do not own their 2026 first-round pick by virtue of the Plum trade, so it’s in the team’s best interest to win games down the stretch.

The Sparks currently sport a 13-15 record heading into their matchup against the Sun. They sit in ninth place overall, but remain in the playoff race. They’ve won eight out of their last 10 games, though have struggled at home as they’ve compiled a disappointing 4-9 record at Crypto.com Arena.
