Worcester Warriors have secured the services of fullback Louis Brown as they prepare for their return to competitive rugby next season.

Brown, 27, becomes the latest addition to a growing squad at Sixways, joining shortly after former England international Billy Twelvetrees signed on as a player-coach. Brown arrives from Newcastle Falcons, where he spent two seasons following his move from Coventry RFC in 2023.

Capable of playing at both full-back and on the wing, Brown made 20 appearances for Newcastle and crossed the try-line five times. Nine of those matches came in the Premiership this past season, which ended in disappointment for the Falcons as they finished at the foot of the table, 16 points behind Exeter Chiefs.

“I’m looking forward to being part of a team that gets Worcester back where they belong,” Brown said in a press conference.

Brown’s rugby journey began in league with Featherstone Rovers before he switched codes and joined Leeds’ rugby union academy. He earned a senior contract and represented England Counties at the Under-18 level, showcasing his early promise.

He later featured for Old Elthamians before a three-year spell with Coventry in the RFU Championship, where he made 45 appearances. Known for his elusive footwork and powerful left boot, Brown gained a reputation as one of the championship’s most reliable back-three players.

In 2023, Brown signed a two-year contract with Newcastle and quickly made his mark in the Premiership Rugby Cup, scoring against Caldy. His top-flight debut followed in November 2023 against Sale Sharks, where he made an early impression by scoring in the opening stages.

Born on 17 February 1998, Brown stands at 187 cm and weighs 91 kg. His addition adds both depth and experience to Worcester’s back line as the club begins its rebuilding phase.
