Massive recruiting bump has Notre Dame commit going from underrated to borderline five-star status

When Notre Dame football started recruiting 2026 Glenside (Pa.) La Salle College offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh several months ago, most Fighting Irish fans weren’t overly engaged. Over the last several weeks, the Pennsylvania native has seen his recruiting rankings continue to trend upward.

McKeogh committed to Notre Dame on June 18th over Texas and Penn State. At that time, the talented blindside protector was already seeing some substantial rankings bumps. It wasn’t nearly as much, however, as what we saw on Monday.

Rivals released their top 300 rankings this week. McKeogh was not only included, but he came in at No. 13 overall. That was up from his previous rankings at No. 181 overall in the 2026 recruiting class.

If the rankings ended today, McKeogh would earn five-star status. He isn’t the only highly ranked Notre Dame player in the 2026 class by Rivals. Defensive end Rodney Dunham is only one ranked ahead of him, sitting at No. 6 overall. Pass rusher Ebenezer Ewetade and tight end Ian Premer are right behind them, coming in at No. 20 and No. 26 respectively.

The Pennsylvania native is now ranked as a four-star recruit on the 247Sports Composite ranking after being very underrated early on. That rating has him pegged as the No. 262 overall player, No. 20 offensive tackle, and No. 7 player in the state of Pennsylvania in the 2026 recruiting class. That should rise with this recent Rivals update.

McKeogh’s offer list continued to expand extensively this offseason, and the demand has risen tremendously over the last few months.

Some of the top programs that had offered McKeogh included the Fighting Irish, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Boston College, Syracuse, Northwestern, West Virginia, Rutgers, Duke, Wake Forest, USF, and Liberty.
