Matthew Berry Names His Top 'Sleeper' Pick For 2025 Fantasy Drafts

It's that time of the year.

It's officially mock draft season in the fantasy football world and trailblazing fantasy analyst Matthew Berry has a sleeper in mind for fans looking to find a breakout star that could be flying under the radar on a lot of people's draft boards.

Appearing on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon last night, the NBC personality gave the host and his audience some tips on who to look for in their fantasy drafts this year.

And according to Berry, there's one NFL rookie that everyone should look to grab in their respective league's this fall.

"This year it is rookie Chargers running back Omarion Hampton. NFL fans are gonna know him, he was a first-round pick for the Chargers this year at running back," Berry explained. "With NBC we were at the Hall of Fame preseason game last week, and so we're on the field and we're talking to all these Chargers defensive players and I was like, 'Hey, what do you think of Hampton?'"

"And they're like: 'We hate tackling him. He runs hard! He's angry! We're glad we're not gonna face him in the real season.' He is the real deal," the fantasy legend said. "They could not stop raving about the kid."

The Chargers selected Hampton with the 22nd overall pick this past April after a standout college career at the University of North Carolina.

In back-to-back years, Hampton rushed for over 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns as the centerpiece of the Tar Heels backfield and now he'll join a Bolts team under Jim Harbaugh that loves to pound the rock.

Last season saw J.K. Dobbins rush for a career-high 905 yards and 9 TDs in LA's new scheme — and that was in only 13 games.

Hampton certainly has the talent to accomplish that and then some in Harbaugh's offense as the Chargers potentially eye their first AFC West title since the Norv Turner era in 2009.
