Regardless of where pundits stand on the Las Vegas Raiders in 2025, they have two of the NFL’s top players at their disposal.
As the NFL has unveiled its list of the top 100 players in 2025, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby and tight end Brock Bowers both found themselves high in the rankings.
Bowers was the first to be recognized at No. 24 on the list, followed shortly after by Crosby at No. 22.
Bowers’s ranking is the highest for any Raiders rookie since the list made its debut in 2009. It is unsurprising why that is the case, after an incredible rookie year that saw the Georgia product lead all tight ends in receptions (112) and receiving yards (1,194) en route to Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors. Those numbers also he lped Bowers break several rookie records, including most receptions by a rookie and most receiving yards by a rookie tight end.
Crosby, on the other hand, is still seen at the top of his game despite a down year by his lofty standards.
An ankle injury sidelined Crosby for five games, marking the first time in his NFL career that the perennial All-Pro has had to miss time during the regular season. Even with that time gone, Crosby lead the Raiders in 2024 in sacks (7.5), tackles for loss (17), quarterback hits (20) and quarterback pressures (35). He was even a Pro Bowl nomination, indicating that his body of work extends well beyond his injury.
With Crosby back fully healthy and Bowers raring to go after a stellar debut, the Raiders will rely heavily on both of them to turn their fortunes around.
