With plenty of disappointment throughout the Michigan State fanbase after not having a chance to see the 2025 Spartans up close. As the typical annual Spring Game was a good way for fans to get a closer look at the team, which MSU chose not to hold this Spring. Much like other major programs like the Alabama Crimson Tide or the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Fear not, as for the first time since the 2019 season, Michigan State Football will host their Meet the Spartans Event. Meet the Spartans was an annual event during the Mark Dantonio era, where fans were able to meet the Spartan football players and get autographs, along with a chance to meet the head football coach and take pictures with him.
It's an event that has long had thousands of fans turn out and enjoy a nice August afternoon in Spartan Stadium. It's great to see it return, and Spartan Nation will be all in for this event.
Coach Smith told Chris Solari from the Detroit Free Press that the Meet The Spartans event has a date set for August 21st. With further details to be released.
MSU coach Jonathan Smith says the team will hold Meet the Spartans on Aug. 21. More details coming later this summer.

Michigan State also posted on their official site that the event will include photo opportunities, autographs, interactive games, and much more. The event will be free to all who attend.
More information will be available at a later date and time closer to the event.
This is an event that has certainly been missed over the last five-plus years. Seeing it return certainly makes things feel like a return to the glory days of the Mark Dantonio era for Michigan State Football and a fanbase in dire need of some hope.
