Missouri basketball just secured its second commitment of the 2024 class in consensus 3-star power forward Nicholas Randall.

Randall, a native of Saint Louis, Mo, now plays for Compass Prep in Chandler, Ariz. He's nationally considered a top-150 recruit, composite ranked the No. 117 player in the country. That also makes him the No. 7 player in the state of Arizona.
The Missouri native held offers from Creighton, Illinois, Kansas State and others. His final three schools consisted of the Tigers, Creighton Bluejays and San Francisco Dons.
Randall is a 6-foot-8, 230-pound power forward who excels rebounding and scoring in the paint. He has excellent fluid athleticism that translates well not only to the power forward spot, but as a modern-NBA forward.
The Tigers now have two commitments in the 2024 class. The other is another local guard, Aaron Rowe. Rowe has struggled since making the move back to the state of Missouri for high school basketball and now sits as a composite 4-star recruit, composite ranked No. 69 in the country.
As for the remaining targets for the Tigers class, atop the list is 4-star guard Davion Hannah. He has a final-four list of schools comprised of Cincinnati, Ohio State and Alabama.
The Tigers have missed on a few 4-star targets so far, including guard Chuck Love Jr., center Xavier Staton and guard Dorian Jones.
Missouri basketball kicks off its 2024 season on Monday, November 4 on the road against the Memphis Tigers.

Instead, they're 2-3 and 0-1 in ACC play. Following an embarrassing 38-10 home loss to the Clemson Tigers in Week 6, the school is reportedly considering a shocking move. North Carolina is reportedly considering firing Bill Belichick In a story published Tuesday, Andrew Jones of 247Sports reported North Carolina has had "potential exit strategy discussions" regarding Belichick. On Wednesday, Pat Welter of WRAL-TV in Raleigh revealed new information about what's going on behind closed doors, which could give the program more grounds to move on from the former New England Patriots coach. According to Welter, two players got into a fight in the locker room on Tuesday, and a parent said their son no longer wants to go to the facility because it's too "toxic." If that wasn't enough, The Athletic's Bruce Feldman has reported the school has suspended cornerbacks coach Armond Hawkins. The suspension is tied to allegations of extra benefits in a previous report by Welter. No wonder North Carolina wants to get rid of Belichick. Along with the scandals, he has failed to attract elite players. "There's no question that job No. 1 for any coach is attracting top talent to North Carolina, and I think that's where you start if you're the North Carolina administration," Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer said Sunday on "Patriots Pregame Live." "You look at their roster and you say, 'You turned over 70 percent of the roster and that's what we're getting on a week-to-week basis?' ... I think there are lots of fair questions to ask in those departments." North Carolina kicking Belichick to the curb would be justified. He has failed to deliver results on the field. More importantly, he has reportedly created a mess that could leave the program in shambles.
Packers could see breakout star emerge on defense in weeks ahead
The Green Bay Packers’ secondary got lit up by Dak Prescott in a 40-40 tie against the Dallas Cowboys before heading off to the bye week, but help could be on the way. Through the season’s first five weeks, the Packers rank 11th against the pass, but they allowed 319 passing yards and three touchdowns to Prescott in their final game before the bye week. Help, though, could be on the way. Could Nate Hobbs elevate Packers’ secondary? With a showdown against the likes of wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on Sunday afternoon, a breakout star could be about to emerge. Mike Spofford of the Packers’ official website suggests that cornerback Nate Hobbs getting healthier could be a major asset for coordinator Jeff Hafley and Green Bay’s defense moving forward. “Nate Hobbs,” Spofford writes, when asked the player he’s most looking forward to see the rest of the season. “He’s getting further removed from his knee procedure during training camp, and he’s also back on the practice field after leaving the Dallas game to be evaluated for a concussion. I don’t think we’ve seen the best of Hobbs yet in this defense.” Hobbs has appeared in three games for the Packers this season, posting 10 total tackles, one pass breakup and one tackle for loss. Given that the 26-year-old had the added time during the bye week to get further away from the injury he suffered during the summer, he could be a player whose best football this season is still in front of him. That would be huge for a defense looking for consistent playmakers to step up.
Bengals QB Jake Browning angry about being benched for Joe Flacco, but team had no choice
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning has officially been benched, and he is not taking it lightly. Browning has started the last three games for the Bengals in the wake of a toe injury that Joe Burrow suffered in Week 2. After going 0-3 in those games, the Bengals decided to acquire Joe Flacco in a trade with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor announced on Wednesday that Flacco will start in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers. That means the new guy is taking Browning's job right away, which is hardly a surprise. Jake Browning is not happy about losing his job Browning spoke with reporters shortly after Taylor revealed that Flacco will start in Green Bay. The 29-year-old quarterback said the situation "sucks" but that he understands how the business of the NFL works. "I think it sucks but, like I said, everyone's in the middle of a season. I think, 'Welcome to pro football,'" Browning said. "If you don't play well, you're gonna get replaced, and that's what I'm going through." Browning also admitted he is angry over being benched. Though, he said he is not willing to shoulder the blame for everything that has gone wrong for Cincinnati since Burrow went down. "For me, I'm trying to respond the right way. Obviously, I'm pi--ed. If I wasn't pi--ed, then I shouldn't be in this locker room," Browning added. "I'm aware of the role I played in the offensive struggles over the last few weeks, but I'm also not shouldering the entire situation. I went through yesterday, watched my throws, tried to come up with some stuff I want to work on, and just doing that." Zac Taylor had no choice but to make a switch Browning threw three interceptions in Cincinnati's 37-24 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. He completed 26 of 40 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns as well, but anything positive that the veteran did came when the game was essentially out of hand. In his two starts prior to the Lions loss, Browning threw for a total of 265 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. The Bengals scored 13 points in the two games combined. Ja'Marr Chase looked extremely frustrated at times and even had a heated exchange with Taylor on the sideline. Taylor had been facing tremendous pressure from fans to make a quarterback change. It would not be a surprise if Cincinnati's front office and some players expressed a desire for Browning to be benched, as well.
Notre Dame a College Football Playoff Lock at 10–2, Says Insider
Notre Dame (3-2) is trying to, for the second time in as many years, rattle off a double-digit winning streak in order to make the College Football Playoff. Last season it was 10-straight wins to close the regular season, most of them in convincing fashion, that set Notre Dame up for a playoff berth and consiquential run. This year, Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame are looking for a bit of that same magic. Instead, though, this year Notre Dame began 0-2, didn't have a marquee victory over Texas A M, but also doesn't have a brutal loss like Northern Illinois had in 2024. Assuming Notre Dame wins out, which still can't be guaranteed, is it a shoo-in for a playoff berth? Josh Pate Weighs In On Notre Dame's Playoff Chances at 10-2 There is a strong possibility that Notre Dame can win 10 games this year, and none of those victories would come against ranked opponents. Even in that case, Josh Pate of On3 and ESPN sees no way Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish would be left out of the dance. Pate was on Always College Football with former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy and was adamant about Notre Dame's playoff chances, assuming it wins 10 games. “I’m really interested in this Notre Dame conversation because I’m telling you, I don’t think there’s much of any world where a 10-2 Notre Dame is left out,” Pate said. “I know what the counter arguments are…Let’s say legitimately there are no ranked wins on Notre Dame’s schedule come season’s end…If you were to invert their schedule, if we had played Miami later, if we had played those teams later, where our new quarterback was more seasoned and in tune with the offense, it would’ve been a different story,” Pate said. “You can’t prove it counterfactual, which is the brilliance in that strategy.” Life is Easier for Pretty People, Such as Notre Dame While cases will be made that a potential three-loss Big Ten or SEC team should get in over a two-loss Notre Dame team, one fact remains. Notre Dame is still Notre Dame. I'm not saying that to be arrogant, I'm saying that as someone who is aware. Few teams draw interest like Notre Dame does, and the fact it went on a run to the national championship game last year only adds to that. I won't go as far as Pate to say I don't see a world where 10-2 Notre Dame doesn't get in, because I think there are certain ways things could fall that would make it difficult. I will say, though, that if there are multiple teams with seemingly equal cases, it's hard to imagine Notre Dame gets passed over.
