Molly Qerim confirmed Tuesday that she'll no longer be the host of ESPN's "First Take." This decision shocked plenty of people, including Stephen A. Smith.

ESPN hired Qerim back in 2006 to work on its digital and mobile platforms. She then left for on-air opportunities with CBS Sports and NFL Network. That led her back to ESPN in 2015. Although she's been a fabulous host for "First Take" over the past decade, she believes it's in her best interest to move on.

"After much reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to close this incredible chapter and step away from First Take. Hosting this show has been one of the greatest honors of my career. Every morning, I had the privilege of sharing the desk with some of the most brilliant, passionate, and entertaining voices in sports — and with all of you, the best fans in the world," Qerim wrote. "I’m so grateful for what this journey has given me: lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and the chance to be part of something truly special. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for welcoming me into your homes."

It's unclear what's next for Qerim, who has become a household name at ESPN.

During Qerim's second stint at ESPN, she got close to NBA analyst Jalen Rose. They actually got married in July 2018.

Qerim and Rose tied the knot during a small ceremony in New York City. According to Page Six, they boarded a flight to Turks and Caicos for their honeymoon.

What happened to Qerim and Rose?

In December 2021, Qerim and Rose ended their marriage. They announced this unfortunate news on social media.

"After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go our separate ways," Rose said. "We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship going forward. Please respect our privacy at this time."

Qerim has been very quiet about her love life since her divorce. As for her career, it's unclear what's next. All we know for certain is that her colleagues will miss her.

"Molly announced last night she will be departing from ESPN. She's hosted First Take for 10 years and elevated the show with her grace, her expertise, and her incomparable kindness," Smith said Tuesday. "She's been an enormous part of our success for a decade. Not only did she keep me and many others in line, she did it with dignity, class and kindness to say the least. We'll miss her and wish her every blessing on her future. I, personally, am grateful to her for her friendship. I will miss spending everyday weekday morning with her."
