The disrespect from the national media toward the Tennessee Vols never ends.
The latest example of the Vols receiving some serious disrespect came this week from 247Sports.
On Monday, 247Sports ranked the highest paid defensive coordinators in college football in the wake of Penn State swiping Jim Knowles from Ohio State. Knowles will reportedly be paid $3.1 million per year by Penn State.
247Sports listed the top 10 highest paid defensive coordinators, with the salaries ranging from $3.1 million to $1.9 million.
There's just one problem with 247Sports' list.
Tennessee defensive coordinator Tim Banks' name was nowhere to be found, despite the fact that he signed a new deal with Tennessee last week (before Knowles signed his deal with Penn State) that will pay him $2.15 million annually.
Final deal done for Tennessee DC Tim Banks. He has a new three-year deal that’s been finalized at $2.15 million annually through the 2027 season.

Banks should've been at No. 5 on 247Sports' list.
I'm not sure how anyone forgets to include the defensive coordinator that just led the Vols to the No. 7 scoring defense in the nation.
But hey, I'm sure Banks and the Volunteers don't mind. They seem to thrive on being an "under-the-radar" group of coaches that never stops grinding behind the scenes.
