2026 five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon, a Tennessee Vols commit since last August, is competing in the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles this week.

Brandon, who won't officially sign with Tennessee until December, made a big impression on day one of the camp by winning the "rail shot challenge".

"Faizon Brandon is clearly one of the most talented Elite 11 Finalists," noted On3's Chad Simmons. "At 6-foot-3.5, 200 pounds with a live arm and strong movement skills, he passes the initial eye test with flying colors. Brandon’s velocity caught our eye early on in the workout."

It wasn't just Brandon's arm that impressed analysts/scouts on Tuesday. The future Vol looks the part physically, too.

"He has such a smooth release and the ball cuts through the air right into the receiver’s hands," wrote Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney. "He’s also filled out physically and looks like a million bucks."

Brandon could easily end up being the most talented quarterback Josh Heupel's ever coached in his career (dating back to Heupel's time as an assistant coach at Oklahoma). The Greensboro, NC native certainly appears to be the real deal.
