The Miami Hurricanes have had one of the most successful offseasons of any college football program, which is highlighted by an exciting 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 8 in the nation.
However, despite already having a handful of talent, they aren't done trying to land more and on Friday, they hosted wide receiver and current LSU Tigers commit Tristen Keys for an official visit.
This also marks his third overall visit with the Hurricanes, and in an article by On3's Chad Simmons, the young wide receiver made it clear they're starting to make an impression.
“I like Miami a lot,” Keys said. “The coaches are cool and I see a chance to do big things there. It is a great environment there and coach Beard is a great coach. This visit really gave me a lot to think about with Miami.”
It's no surprise that the Hurricanes are trying to pull Keys away from LSU, as On3 Industry Rankings have him as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 wide receiver and the No. 5 player in the nation.
His talent was on full display during his junior season with Hattiesburg High School, hauling in 40 receptions, 839 yards and 12 touchdowns in 10 games.
Standing at 6-foot-2.5 and 185 pounds, whether it's with LSU or another program, Keys is also the kind of player who could compete for serious playing time as a true freshman.
Of course, Miami isn't the only team still looking to make him flip, though, as Simmons also noted that the Texas A&M Aggies (June 6), Tennessee Volunteers (June 13) and Alabama Crimson Tide (June 17) are all hosting him for visits.
