Former Iowa State standout point guard Tyrese Haliburton will join FOX’s “Big Noon Kickoff” ahead of the Cyclones’ rivalry showdown with Iowa on Saturday, Sept. 6. The show begins at 10 a.m. ET, with kickoff set for noon.
Haliburton, now the starting point guard for the Indiana Pacers, led the franchise to the NBA Finals before falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The two-time All-Star suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the Game 7 loss.
No. 16 Iowa State enters the matchup at 2-0, with wins over South Dakota and Kansas State to open the season. Coming off an 11-3 campaign in 2024, the Cyclones are firmly in the Big 12 title conversation this fall.

Veteran quarterback Rocco Becht has been sharp through two games, throwing for 461 yards and five touchdowns to lead the offense. He’ll look to keep that momentum going in one of the most anticipated ISU matchups in recent memory.
Iowa looked strong in its season-opening 34-7 win over Albany, racking up over 300 rushing yards. Running back Xavier Williams led the way with 122 yards and a score, while the defense allowed just two yards per rush in a dominant effort.
The Hawkeyes also held Albany to under 200 total yards, including just 43 rushing yards.
