Lost Hellden is the newest game announced by Artisan Studios. During the Future Games Show event at Gamescom 2025, Artisan Studios unveiled the gameplay trailer for the upcoming title, and it looks amazing. The trailer reveals the art style, graphics, gameplay mechanics, and a unique story set in the world of Era. Here’s a breakdown of the trailer.

Lost Hellden Trailer

The trailer showcases the unique and beautiful hand-painted 3D art, which shows the incredible detail the artist put into the game. It was a focal point of the trailer reveal because of how the developers blended a 3D environment with a hand-painted art style. Making the game open world was a bold choice, but it was probably the best way to showcase the incredible art of the game.

What also stuck out to me, watching this trailer, was the duel combat system the devs decided to go by. As a phased battle system that blends turn-based combat with team-building strategy and action so seamlessly, just watching the gameplay made me excited to put the game on my wishlist. The game features eight playable characters, a job class system, and customization options for equipment and items. If the devs were going for full immersion, they got it right from what I saw in the trailer.

Story Synopsis

This open-world JRPG is set in the fictional world of Era. The game centers around the main protagonist Cyphel, who goes on a journey to find his twin brother Leht, who escapes the temple they were raised in. The game features religious themes such as the Seven Deadly Sins and their connection to the world of Era. It places an emphasis on religion and how it affects the people of Era in a literal sense, and I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing some drama between these two brothers once they meet.

The trailer did a spectacular job of engaging the audience and showcasing the beautiful art style of the game. Lost Hellden is set to release sometime next year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. I highly recommend playing this game, and I have high expectations once it releases.
