Recently, Paul Myerberg and Blake Toppmeyer of USA Today dropped their top 25 college football stadiums ahead of the 2025 season.
At No. 1 was Tiger Stadium, home of the LSU Tigers. Opened on Nov. 25, 1924, the stadium has undergone several renovations over the years, with the most recent in 2014 expanding its capacity to 102,321—making it the fifth-largest college football stadium in the country.
When ranking the stadiums, Myerberg and Toppmeyer considered not just capacity but also the difficulty of playing there. With how loud Tiger Stadium gets, especially at night, it gives LSU a home-field advantage few programs in college football can match. Dating back to 1924, LSU holds an all-time record at Tiger Stadium of 444-156-18 (.733).
