The rules regarding NIL, revenue sharing, NIL Collectives, and everything else the new era of college sports has brought forth are constantly changing.

But so are the rules on the field.

The National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame has partnered with the College Football Officiating to announce key rule changes that are going into effect this season.

These rules include feigning injuries, how replace announcements are made, pre-snap movements, technology use and updated rules for pieces of gear.

"The mission of the Rules Committee is to develop and evaluate rules changes that will enhance the sport, protect the image of the game, and enhance the student athlete's health and safety," CFO National Coordinator of Football Officials Steve Shaw said. "Player safety has been the highest priority of the committee for many years now resulting in significant changes that have improved the game in terms of mitigating injuries.”
