With an unreal one-handed catch, North Dakota State Bison wide receiver Bryce Lance collected the go-ahead and game-winning touchdown against South Dakota State in the FCS Championship semifinals.

Lance, the younger brother of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Trey Lance and fellow NDSU alumnus, finished the game with six receptions for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

The junior wideout has 60 catches for 821 yards and 13 touchdowns this year.

The No. 2 Bison will face the winner of the Montana State-South Dakota matchup on January 6 to crown the FCS champions. North Dakota State has won nine FCS championships since 2011. Notable alumni currently in the NFL include Christian Watson and Carson Wentz.

At 6-foor-3 and 204 pounds, Lance could follow in his older brother's NFL footsteps. Trey, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, has yet to gain traction as a professional. Before the 2023 season, San Francisco traded Lance to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick.

Last week, in the FCS Championship quarterfinals against Mercer, Lance had five catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Saturday's three-touchdown performance against SDST was Lance's fourth game this season with two or more touchdowns.

Bryce still has one year of college football eligibility remaining.
