The Seattle Kraken hosted the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday afternoon in the NHL's "Winter Classic" at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
The outdoor event transformed the home of the Seattle Mariners into a hockey arena for the day and put on a great show, as the Kraken beat the Knights 3-0. That's the fifth straight win for Seattle, which advanced to the Western Conference playoffs in 2022-2023.
Seattle goalie Joey Daccord made 35 saves in the win, delivering the first shutout in the 15-game history of the "Winter Classic," but even more impressive than his on-ice play was his choice of wardrobe for the day.
Daccord's mask went viral on social media for its incredible design, which paid homage to the Mariners.

The goalie mask is always an awesome form of artistic expression and this was no different. If you look closely, one side of the mask features current Mariners Cal Raleigh, JP Crawford and Julio Rodriguez, while the other features Ken Griffey Jr., Ichiro Suzuki and Edgar Martinez.
That's amazing detail and an amazing tribute by Daccord, who surely won over some Mariners fans with this style.
The 27-year-old Daccord is a Massachusetts native who played collegiately at Arizona State. He started out in the Ottawa Senators organization before coming to Seattle.
In addition to the M's-themed mask, Raleigh was in attendance at the game, as was team announcer Rick Rizzs.
