It’s not every day that a recruit from Western Pennsylvania receives an offer from Alabama or Ohio State. Peter Notaro received an offer from both on Saturday.

Notaro — a 5-foot-11, 180-pound specialist from North Allegheny in Wexford, Pa. — received offers from the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes, adding to a list of offers that includes Pitt and West Virginia. It’s safe to say that Notaro is one of the fastest-rising kickers in the country.

Notaro is coming off a junior season at North Allegheny in which he went 7-of-8 in his field goal attempts (23-of-24 in point-after attempts), and he has a live leg. He connected on a long kick of 47 yards.

He’s a five-star kicker and four-and-a-half star punter, per Kohl’s Professional Camps, the premier kicking and punting entity in college football.

According to Kohl’s, he’s the fourth-ranked kicker in the class of 2025.

“Notaro scored 17 points on field goals and 116.43 points on kickoffs at the Underclassman Challenge. He also won a field goal competition and looked like a D1 scholarship player. He flashed potential in the punting portion as well but his current strength are kickoffs and field goals. Notaro earned an invite to the Underclassman Challenge in December of 2023 with a good day at a winter Showcase Camp.

“He scored 12 points on field goals and 104.10 points on kick offs and 98.6 points in punting. His biggest kick off traveled 66 yards and had 3.98 seconds of hang-time. Notaro also competed Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in July of 2023. He scored 106.83 points on kick-offs, 25 points on field goals, and 99.41 points in punting. Notaro has continued to get stronger and make gains. At a May Showcase Camp, he had an outstanding performance scoring 13 of 15 points on field goals and 104.25 points on kick-offs.

“He is a D1 recruit as a kicker. At the March Ranking Event, he graded out at the 4.5-star level as a kicker. Notaro scored 8 points on field goals and scored 110.75 points on kick-offs at the event with a tailwind.”

It appears that Notaro is in for a huge summer, likely in line to earn offers from the top programs in college football.
